Foreign media cover President Tran Dai Quang’s funeral
(VOVWORLD) - Foreign media gave a wide coverage on the state funeral for President Tran Dai Quang which began at 7am Wednesday with a tribute-paying ceremony at the national funeral house in Hanoi.

The AFP captured Vietnamese people queuing to pay tribute to President Tran Dai Quang and reviewed the President’s political career. It quoted Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh’s speech at the funeral as saying that over the last 46 years, Mr. Quang contributed greatly to the revolutionary cause of the Vietnamese Party and nation.
The AP spotlighted sentiment of Vietnamese people who paid tribute to President Quang. Other news agencies like Reuters, Arab News, Channel News Asia, and the South China Morning Post wrote about the state funeral for President Quang. Many media agencies praised the President’s contributions and showed sympathy with Vietnamese people. The Belta of Belarus highlighted the close ties between Vietnam and Belarus saying Belarus was one of the first countries to send condolences to Vietnam over the passing of President Tran Dai Quang.
