(VOVworld) – War veterans recalled Vietnam’s victory over the French colonialists and their own contributions to the victory of the Dien Bien Phu campaign in May, 1954, at a meeting held Tuesday in Quang Tri province. The meeting honored the staunch spirit of war veterans who took part in the campaign, many of whom were detained in French colonial jails. The event is part of activities to celebrate the 61st anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu victory on May 7th.
