Corrine Breuzé presented her Letter of Credence as French Ambassador to Le Luong Minh, Secretary-General of ASEAN on Wednesday. Minh said he looks forward to strengthening the mutual relations and suggested exploring further practical cooperation in fields where France has expertise. Ambassador Breuzé said the government of France regards ASEAN as an important organization and pursuing greater cooperation with ASEAN is among its top priorities in foreign policy. Ambassador Breuzé announced that Laurent Fabius, the French Minister of Foreign Affairs will pay an official visit to the ASEAN Secretariat and meet with Secretary-General Minh in early August 2013.
