(VOVworld) – At Friday’s "Friends of Syria" meeting in Tunisia, more than 60 countries and international humanitarian organizations announced a call for an end to the violence in the country and outlining sanctions on Syrian Government. Participants agreed to recognize the Syrian National Council as legitimate representative of the Syrian people but didn’t give it a full recognition. Tunisian President Moncef Marzouki said that a political solution that gives Syrian President Bashar al-Assad a safe exit from power is the best way to end the crisis in the country. French Foreign Minsiter Alain Juppe said the UN will besiege the asset of the Syrian Central Bank in the bloc’s meeting next Monday.
