(VOVworld) – The Vietnam-South Korea Friendship Association of Binh Duong province opened its first congress on Wednesday for the 2016-2021 tenure. Nguyen Thanh Toan, Deputy Director of the Binh Duong provincial Department of Foreign Affairs, was elected Chairman of the Association.

The Congress worked out a plan of action for the next 5 years, focusing on introducing to local people South Korea’s history, culture, and development and its relations with Vietnam.
The Binh Duong provincial Vietnam-South Korea Friendship Association is an affiliate of the national Vietnam-South Korea Friendship Association and the Binh Duong provincial Union of Friendship Organizations. It aims to increase mutual understanding and friendship between the two peoples.
