(VOVWORLD) - The annual fruit festival opened in the Mekong Delta province of Ben Tre on Saturday to promote consumption of local safe fruits.
 The 2017 festival takes place in Cho Lach district, Ben Tre province.

A highlight of the festival, the 16th so far, is an artwork in the shape of a rooster and a hen transforming into phoenixes made from flowers and fruits. 160 giant locally-grown products are also displayed, including a 31kg jackfruit, a 3kg sweet potato, and a chamber of 32 coconuts.
