(VOVworld) - The German, French and Polish foreign ministers vowed on Sunday to increase ties between their countries after Britain leaves the EU to secure a safer and more effective union.

In a statement made after the meeting between 3 foreign ministers in Weimar, Germany, foreign ministers Frank-Walter Steinmeier, Jean-Marc Ayrault and Witold Waszczykowski, stressed the need to intensify cooperation and create a new drive to deal with the challenges of imbalance in Europe. They expressed their desire for a more flexible Europe. The ministers also called for the bloc’s combined foreign and security policies to be strengthened with the creation of an annual European Security Council meeting of EU heads of government.
