German daily newspaper Spiegel cited materials of the country’s Finance Ministry on Friday as saying that Turkey is unclear.

According the source, if the agreement between Turkey and EU is broken, the bloc must secure the marine border control over the waters between Egypt and Turkey’s islands. Analysts of German Finance Ministry said in such a case, it’s necessary to increase coordination with Athens.

On Monday Turkey’s Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu gave EU visa ultimatum asking it to implement its promise by October.

On Friday, Austrian Foreign Minister Sebastan Kurz underlined the importance of taking long-term control along the Balkan border, considering it a measure to prevent the flow of migrants. He said illegal migration will not be permitted to get asylum in Europe.
