Tranh said the people pay special attention to corruption prevention. The Party, State, and functional agencies have been engaged in preventing and punishing corruption, but the results have been disappointing. He said asset declaration is an important preventive measure.
The Law on Preventing and Combating Corruption has adopted changes in asset declaration and publication. The Government Inspectorate has submitted to the government a decree on managing the incomes of officials in line with the Law on Preventing and Combating Corruption. Mr. Tranh said he believes that prompt and consistent anti-corruption measures will obtain results.
