Government orders thorough inspection of scrap import licensing
(VOVWORLD) - Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has asked the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment to conduct thorough inspections of imported scrap, deal strictly with violations, and revoke the licenses of violators.
At a recent government meeting on environmental management in import activities and using scrap materials for production, PM Phuc called for better management of imported scrap so Vietnam does not become a dumping ground. He asked sectors and localities to create a public consensus and punish violators who are harming the environment.
