(VOVworld) – Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh has called on Ha Giang province to boost external relations to create breakthroughs in socio-economic development.

During talks with provincial leaders on Wednesday, Deputy Prime Minister Minh asked the province to review the development of its border economic zones, increase links with other provinces in the region, and boost economic development through economic corridors in the east-northwestern region. He added that the province should increase border trade with Chinese localities, improve border management, and develop border tourism. He also asked the province to help generate jobs and increase the incomes of ethnic minority workers.
