(VOVworld) - The annual Ha Long Carnival 2015 themed “Convergence of quintessence – Spread of smiles” opened in the northern province of Quang Ninh on Friday, featuring over 2,700 professional and amateur artists. Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Dang Huy Hau said that after 8 years the carnival has become a tourism brand of the province: “This year’s carnival is organized thanks to the sponsorship of some businesses. Through this event we hope to further promote the image of Quang Ninh, its historical and cultural values, hospitality, and creativity to tourists. We want to show that Quang Ninh is a place worth living for anyone.”

The event is expected to attract tourists to the world heritage site Ha Long Bay and other local cultural heritages.
