The figures were revealed at a meeting on Wednesday to review Hai Phong city’s industry, trade, and the implementation of major projects.

Minister of Industry and Trade, Tran Tuan Anh, said: “Trade and export growth rate is high, but logistics growth is very low at about 4% to 5%. We have the potential to increase export values and logistical services. We should improve the competitiveness of logistics services. Logistic expenses account for 20% of the GDP.”

Chairman of Hai Phong City’s People’s Committee Nguyen Van Tung said Hai Phong is investing in many large projects on seaports, bridges, and trade centers to strengthen regional connectivity to boost production, consumption, and exports.
