(VOVworld)- Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong on Friday inspected the implementation of the Party resolutions and social-economic development plans in Hau Giang province.

In a meeting with local authorities, the Party leader asked the province to exert more efforts to fulfil set targets and carefully prepare for Party congresses at different levels. He said Hau Giang needed to focus more on agricultural production by increasing the value of agricultural products, restructuring and modernizing the agricultural sector: “Hau Giang province needs to focus more on expanding the scale and improving the quality and competitiveness of agricultural production. It’s necessary to combine industrial and agricultural development, especially integrate the processing industry in agriculture. The province also needs to increase the number of large-scale fields and the application of science and technology in agricultural production”.

Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong urged Hau Giang to improve its business environment, encourage enterprises to invest more in rural areas and strengthen cooperation with neighboring provinces. The same day, the Party leader visited Tan Thanh and Nga Bay communes.
