HCM Institute contributes to Vietnam-Russia relationship

(VOVworld) - Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Mass Mobilization Truong Thi Mai visited the Ho Chi Minh Institute of Saint Petersburg University on Wednesday as part of her visit to Russia.

Ms. Mai hailed the efforts of Prof. Kolotov in establishing the Institute, calling the Institute a bridge for the friendship between Vietnam and Russia (VNA)

Institute Director Professor Vladimir Kolotov briefed her on the establishment and development of the Institute, a joint project by Saint Petersburg University and the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics (NPA) begun in 2010.
Over the past six years, the two sides have jointly conducted workshops on President Ho Chi Minh’s thoughts, the results of which were collected in a book published in Russian and Vietnamese. The Institute has also conducted studies on Vietnam’s politics, economy, history, and culture; trained students; and sought ways to expand cooperation between Vietnam and Russia.

Ms. Mai hailed the efforts of Prof. Kolotov in establishing the Institute, calling the Institute a bridge for the friendship between Vietnam and Russia. On this occasion, she met with representatives of the Vietnamese community in St. Petersburg.
