Chairman of the HCMC's People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Phong and Governor of the US State of Utah Gary Herber

Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Phong told Governor of the US State of Utah Gary Herber on Thursday that Utah and Ho Chi Minh City should increase diplomatic activities and bilateral cooperation programmes for mutual benefit.  He wished that Utah businesses would explore long-term business opportunities in the city in priority fields such as tourism and high technology. 
Governor Herbert said Ho Chi Minh City and Utah share similarities in development history, cultural values, young population as well as challenges arising from growing urban population and environmental protection.
The guest expressed his wish that Ho Chi Minh City would facilitate visits to share experience in developing clean energies, environment and education to improve local well-being.
