(VOVworld) - Ho Chi Minh City stands ready to partner with Italian firms operating in trade and transport Secretary of the municipal Party Committee Dinh La Thang told visiting Italian Minister of Infrastructure and Transport Graziano Delrio at a Tuesday reception in Ho Chi Minh city.

Mr. Thang reiterated HCMC’s willingness to welcome enterprises from Italy who want to do long-term business in the city. Delrio said Italy wants closer cooperation with Ho Chi Minh city in transportation infrastructure, especially in building subways.

Delrio and Vice Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Le Thanh Liem co-chaired a meeting between Italian firms and partners from Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, Vung Tau and Can Tho to seeking investments in transportation infrastructure and urban development.
