(VOVworld) - Vietnam Fatherland Front President Nguyen Thien Nhan has praised achievements of Ho Chi Minh City’s High-Tech Park over recent years.

VFF President Nguyen Thien Nhan works with representatives of HCMC’s High-Tech Park.

Mr. Nhan made the statement at a Saturday’s working section with the park’s management board on the development of science and technology and the law on science and technology.

He said the achievements are attributed to Ho Chi Minh City’s efforts to realize government’s policies on science and technology into specific regulations, helping it overcome the difficult period and continue to grow.

The city’s high-tech park’s performance has remarkably contributed to the municipal program to support the economic restructuring and change of growth model in the direction to increasing the ratio of high-tech industry and service.

In the future, the park plans to become a region leading center for science and technology research and development.
