Protestors said the draft bill adds several amendments that harm workers and laborers, including one that allows employers to fire employees more easily. Protestors brandished posters accusing the bill of being unethical, betraying, and forcing them into an uncertain future.

Martine Aubry — a former First Secretary of the Socialist Party — criticized publicly in the newspaper Le Monde the policies of President Francois Holland and Prime Minister Manuel Valls. Recent polls conducted by Harris Interactive Institute showed that 60% of the French oppose the labor reforms.
