The presentation ceremony was attended by Politburo member and Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Hoang Trung Hai and Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam. Mr. Hai said: “The recognition is a proud moment for the Party, the My Duc district authorities, and the people, coinciding with the 130th anniversary of the establishment of My Duc district and the 60th year since President Ho Chi Minh visited the pagoda. Hanoi’s authorities and residents will protect and promote the values of Huong pagoda to make it an attractive tourist destination, and a place to learn about history, culture, and environmental protection.”

The Huong Son complex built in the 15th century consists of Buddhist pagodas, caves, and temples. The site also receives acclaims for its ecosystem, landscape, and history.
