(VOVworld) - Head of the UN nuclear watchdog IAEA Yukiya Amano traveled to Iran on Saturday for talks on Tehran nuclear program with Iranian senior officials. Mr. Amano was scheduled for talks with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, and head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, Ali Akbar Salehi. The visit is intended to resolve some remaining issues related to Iran’s nuclear program. The IAEA said Tehran needs to explain several unclear issues about its past nuclear activities before western sanctions on Iran are removed.
