Immigration continues to be Britain’s great concern

(VOVworld) – Britain is much concerned by the possibility that hundreds of thousands of people will be able to enter the UK to seek jobs when the EU’s labor restrictions on Romania and Bulgaria expire.

Starting in 2014, Romanian and Bulgarian citizens are eligible to work in Britain. Situated in southeastern Europe, with complicated histories, Bulgaria and Romania have many citizens who come from Macedonia, Moldova, Serbia, Ukraine, and Turkey. At the end of 2013, the British government considered a number of ways to block those people from accessing Britain’s social welfare system.  No official measures have been announced so far.
