National Assembly deputies said associations and individuals have the rights to form trade promotion organizations along with state agencies.

Deputy Ngo Duc Manh representing Binh Thuan province proposed: “We support and encourage individuals and organizations to conduct trade promotion but to improve its quality, it’s essential to set up a national trade promotion agency to deal with our pending issue of dispersing information and resources. A national trade promotion agency is like a bridge connecting all information, enterprises at home and abroad with commercial agencies overseas. In the current digital era, we can do online trade promotion if we have sufficient and precise information.”

In regard to establishing trade promotion agencies abroad, some deputies said it will be much better to improve the role of Vietnamese representatives overseas including representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Investment and Planning, the Ministry of Science and Industry, the roles of associations and social organizations.
