Mr. Phuc told a  teleconference of the National Steering Committee for International Integration on Tuesday that during the integration process, especially in the past five years, Vietnam has creatively resourced external means in combination with domestic progress to create a strong trend of national development.

“Vietnam has signed or concluded negotiations on free trade agreements with many partners like the Republic of Korea, the Eurasian Economic Union, and the EU. We have also upgraded partnerships with various countries and have successfully hosted global events such as APEC 2017, WEF-ASEAN 2018, and the second DPRK-US Summit. These are all demonstrative of Vietnam’s policy of being a reliable friend and partner to the international community,” said Mr. Phuc.

The conference also drew representatives from the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank, the UNDP, the American Chamber of Commerce, the European Chamber of Commerce, and the Japan International Cooperation Agency.
