After talks in Brussels with French, German and Iranian foreign ministers and EU foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini, British Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond said that the talks had make progress but “there is a long way to go.”
French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius said that France wanted a solid deal, saying that he hoped the foreign ministers would be able to resolve their disagreements in the next few days.
EU foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini said that all sides were aware how important it was to seal a good deal and that it was not clear whether “a technical solution” to fill the remaining gaps can be found. Senior officials from the world powers will continue negotiations with Iran in Lausanne, Switzerland, on Wednesday.
