Iran, Pakistan seek closer defense ties

(VOVWORLD) - Iranian Defense Minister Ali Hatami and his Pakistani counterpart Khurram Dastgir-Khan held talks on boosting defense cooperation amid increased pressure from the US, Press TV reported on Friday.

In a telephone talk on Thursday, Mr. Hatami hailed growing defense cooperation between the two countries. He said he hopes Iran and Pakistan will foster economic and security growth, saying that both sides have great potentials for military cooperation.

Dastgir-Khan praised the developments of military cooperation with Iran in regional issues and underlined the importance of the Muslim countries’ sovereignty in their defense efforts.
