Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh, a senior commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps Aerospace Division, said the missile can carry multiple warheads. He said the missile was smaller in size compared to other Iranian ballistic missiles and more tactical, and it will be operational in the near future.

Following the missile test, France urged Iran to cease all destabilizing activities in the region. A Foreign Ministry Spokesperson said on Saturday that France and its partners will consider counter measures to prevent a similar act. France also called on UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres to make a full report on the launch. British Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson voiced deep concerns over the test, calling on Iran to halt provocations. Israel's Defence Minister Avigdor Lieberman denounced Iran's test as a "provocation" of the US and its allies, including Israel.
