Iran vows to pursue its missile program

(VOVworld) – Iran will pursue its development of ballistic missiles despite the US blacklisting of companies linked to the program, the Iranian Tasnim News Agency said on Monday. Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) said that Iran’s missile program “will not stop.”

The US government eased many trade and investment restrictions on Iran early this year, after Iran and the P5+1 group (including Russia, US, England, France, China and Germany) signed an agreement on Tehran’s missile program. However, Washington still maintains sanctions which restrict US businesses from cooperating with Iran.
