(VOVworld)- On Thursday, a Japanese cabinet minister visited the Yasukuni shrine, sparking anger in China and South Korea. The visit by Eriko Yamatani, Chairperson of the National Public Safety Commission, came just a day after Japan and China showed the latest sign of reconciliation on territorial and historical issues, when Abe met with Chinese President Xi Jinping on the sidelines of the Asia-Africa Conference Indonesia. Yamatani, was one of the 3 female ministers who visited the Yasukuni shrine during last year’ Autumn festival.
