Japanese-standard dairy products to enter Vietnamese market

(VOVWORLD) - The Vietnam Nutrition Food Company (NutiFood) and Japanese beverage group Asahi, owner of the baby food brand Wakodo, on Thursday announced the establishment of a joint venture to bring child nutrition products that meet Japanese standards to the Vietnamese market.

The joint venture, called Asahi-NutiFood, is set up to take advantage of each side’s strength – NutiFood’s long-term business experience, extensive distribution channels, and deep understanding of Vietnamese children’s nutrition, and Asahi’s expertise in producing high-quality powdered milk and baby food.

NutiFood has been certified by the US Food and Drug Administration to export nutritional supplements for children, and has cooperated with the Swedish Backahill Company and BASF group to apply international standards in producing dairy products for children.
