Japan’s Prime Minister has confidence in Trump

Speaking to reporters after a 90-minute meeting with Trump in New York, Prime Minister Abe said the candid talk was held in a warm atmosphere. The two sides agreed to have future discussions in greater depth.

In Tokyo, Japan’s Finance Minister Taro Aso said the Thursday meeting will positively benefit the alliance between the US and Japan, which is important to both countries.
