Leaders from Samsung Electronics, Huyndai Motor, SK, LG, and Lotte were among those questioned about their donations of tens of millions of USD made to 2 non-profit funds run by Choi.

A group of MPs from the ruling Saenuri Party opposing President Park said they had prepared all procedures needed to oust her and would not allow her to step down from power voluntarily in April next year. They added that they had gathered enough signatures for an impeachment motion against the President.
