Vietnamese Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong was also present. At the meeting, Mr. Vorachith called the special solidarity between Laos and Vietnam a priceless asset of the two nations over the past 40 years of national construction and defense. He asked the young people of Vietnam and Laos to be responsible in preserving and protecting this asset for future generations.

On this occasion, the Party leaders of Laos and Vietnam presented gifts to 5 Heroic Vietnamese Mothers, whose husbands and children died in Laos for the independence of both countries.
