At a ceremony in Hanoi on Wednesday, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Ngoc Thien announced the decision, acknowledging the golfer’s contributions to Vietnam. Gregory John Norman was born in 1955 in Australia and now lives in Florida, the US. As a tourism ambassador, Norman has set up an action plan to develop international golf tourism in Vietnam. His plan includes introducing Vietnam’s golf courses to the world, organizing golf tournaments and events in the country, and promoting Vietnam’s tourism.
