Many Vietnamese people still suffer physical and mental pain caused by AO/dioxin that was sprayed by the US army during the war in Vietnam. Information about Vietnamese AO victims was distributed by the marchers to raise awareness of the heavy consequences that persist today, three decades after the war ended. Shocking photos of Vietnamese with physical defects and disabilities caused by AO/dioxin evoked expressions of sympathy and signatures on a petition demanding that US chemical firms compensate the victims.
