(VOVworld) – 423 Secretaries of the Youth Union’s branches in Hanoi have reviewed 10 years since the start of a credit program targeting needy members.

Young volunteer doctors will offer free medical check-ups in 18 poor communes in Bac Ninh and Thanh Hoa provinces

Pham Quang Nghi, Politburo member and Secretary of Hanoi’s Party Committee, speaking at the event said that the Youth Union’s officials at all levels had contributed significantly to the capital’s socio-economic development, including toward its poverty reduction target.
He asked the Youth Union’s branches at all levels to continually reform their activities while upholding all political tasks. "Officials of the Youth Union’s branches should continue to develop and maintain their revolutionary character, knowledge, and work experience, in order to be role models in the community. You should continue to study, acquiring scientific and technological knowledge with the purpose of contributing to the Capital and the nation’s development."

The Hanoi Youth Union gave 10 saving books to less fortunate officials who have excelled in their work and honored 10 organizations and 10 individuals for their achievements in the implementation of the credit program for the youth union’s members.
