(VOVWORLD) - 19 people were killed and at least 40 injured in a string of explosions at fireworks workshops in Tultepec city on the outskirts of Mexico City on Thursday.

The Mexican Reforma newspaper said at least 4 workshops were leveled. Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto delivered his condolences to the victims’ families.
