Mexico researches Vietnam’s garment and textile sector
(VOVworld) – A group of businesses from Mexico’s National Chamber of Textile Industry (Canaintex) will make a fact-finding tour to research Vietnam’s garment and textile sector from 22 to 27 August.

They are expected to visit 7 factories and a garment and textile industrial park in Vietnam to study the production chain. Canaintext said once the Trans-Pacific Partnership agreement is approved, Vietnam’s garment and textile export will rise sharply and be able to expand market share in TPP member countries, especially in the US market thanks to bilateral tax preferential policies.
Vietnam is the second largest textile and garment exporter to the US market, meanwhile, Mexico ranks the sixth. The export revenue of Vietnam’s garment and textile products to the US market reached 11 billion USD in 2015 and 4.29 billion USD in the last 6 months this year.
