Micronesian Speaker of the Congress concludes Vietnam visit

(VOVWORLD) - Micronesian Speaker of the Congress Wesley W. Simina left Hanoi on Friday, concluding his official visit to Vietnam at the invitation of National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan.

During his visit, Speaker Simina held talks with Chairwoman Ngan, and had meetings with President Tran Dai Quang and Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc.

Both sides highly valued the importance of the Vietnam-Micronesia relations, saying that the official visit affirms commitments to boosting the two countries’ ties on the occasion of the 23rd anniversary of their diplomatic ties. The leaders agreed on key cooperation fields, including agriculture, aquaculture, and tourism.

Vietnam and Micronesia will sign cooperation agreements in the fields of their strength, coordinate and support each other in forums and organizations, particularly at the United Nations.
