Minister of Education and Training joins National Assembly Q&A session

(VOVworld) – Minister of Education and Training Phung Xuan Nha joined the National Assembly Q&A session on Wednesday, answering questions on tertiary education quality management, updating of examinations, and training for ethnic minority students.

Asked about unemployment among graduates and human resource training which has not met the market demand, Minister Nha, said: “First, we need to re-arrange the network of universities and colleges. Second, we need to assure the quality of training, including the quality of teachers and facilities. The Ministry of Education and Training will work with the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs to forecast labor supply and demand to work out a proper training plan”.   

Mr. Nha said the Ministry of Education and Training will work with 5 foreign education centers to improve the quality of human resource training: “We are encouraging those foreign education centers to create policies, initiatives for training high-quality human resources. We have made a list of key universities and will submit it to the Prime Minister for approval. Foreign education centers will be great places for training high-quality human resources if we have the proper policy and management”.  

Minister Nha said the government has given priority to improving education in remote mountainous areas and helping graduates find employment.
