More gifts arrived on Truong Sa Island for the lunar New Year

A navy delegation arrived on Nam Yet island today to deliver Tet gifts to soldiers stationed there. The island is part of Truong Sa or Spratly Archipelago. Soldier Nguyen Ba Phat expressed his appreciation for the love of the people back on the mainland: “I’m moved to meet the delegation because visits like this make us less homesick. Our Lunar New Year festival resembles the one on the mainland with Banh Chung, or sticky rice cakes, apricot blossoms, and sport competition”.
