(VOVworld) – National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung met on Friday ex-servicemen from the traditional At-Sea Ho Chi Minh Route Society on the occasion of 53^rd anniversary of opening the route.

Mr. Nguyen Sinh Hung hailed contribution of the veterans in the struggle for national defense as well as in current socioeconomic development. He said the Party and State have always cared for veterans especially those who had run no-number ships transporting weapons from the North to the South during the war time. He asked the veterans to continue following revolutionary tradition and being role models for later generations.
