NA Chairwoman calls on Australian firms to expand businesses with Vietnam

(VOVWORLD) -National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan said that Vietnam wants Australian firms to expand their businesses with Vietnam in manufacturing, energy, infrastructure, agriculture, food processing, mineral resources, telecommunications, services, education, and tourism.

Ngan made the statement at the Vietnam-Australia Business Dialogue in Perth, Western Australia state, on Friday. Ngan also called on Australian firms to participate in restructuring the financial-banking sector, equitisation of State-owned enterprises, and start-up projects, which are booming in Vietnam.

Chairwoman Ngan expressed her wish that Australia and Western Australia state create more favorable conditions for Vietnamese products such as agro-aquatic products, garments, wooden furniture, rubber, electronic products, and computer components to access their markets. She added that Vietnam is ready to import wheat, mineral resources, cotton, pharmaceuticals, and modern industrial equipment from Australia.

Ngan said the Vietnamese National Assembly is committed to working with the government on creating the best possible conditions for investors.
