(VOVWORLD) -National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan returned to Hanoi on Sunday, completing her official visits to Singapore and Australia.

Head of the National Assembly External Relations Committee, Nguyen Van Giau, noted that the visits brought about practical impact in boosting bilateral ties in all fields.

“Singaporean leaders congratulated Vietnam on its successful hosting to the APEC Economic Leaders’ Week in Da Nang. Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong said the event shapes up the grouping’s future, especially in trade liberalization and regional prosperity.”, added Giau.

35 Vietnamese businesses and more than 100 Singaporean partners joined a business forum when Chairwoman Ngan called for Singaporean investment in areas of Vietnamese needs and local potential. In Australia, Chairwoman Ngan met a dozen of Australian federal and state leaders. Vietnamese Ambassador Ngo Huong Nam underscored that the visit left impressive experience in bilateral ties.

“It’s interesting that the Speaker of Australian Upper House of the Parliament asked Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan to co-chair a 30-minute hearing. This symbolized Australian Parliament’s unprecedented respect to a foreign legislative leader.”, noted Nam.

The official visits have strengthened Vietnamese legislative cooperation with countries in the world.
