NA Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan met with overseas Vietnamese and Vietnam's Embassy staff in Australia

She attributed the improved relationship between the two countries in recent years to the efforts of the Embassy, businesses, and overseas Vietnamese. She said Vietnam’s policy of national unity has offered favorable conditions for overseas Vietnamese to stabilize their lives and integrate in to the local community while preserving their traditional identity. She urged them to teach their children Vietnamese as an important way to preserve national culture.

In the afternoon, she observed a hearing of Australia’s Upper House at the invitation of the Speaker of the Australian Parliament.
