NA Deputy Chairwoman attends AIPA-38 executive committee meeting
(VOVWORLD) - Representatives of 10 AIPA members, 11 observing countries, the ASEAN Secretariat, and the Inter-parliamentary Union gathered in Manila, the Philippines, on Friday for a meeting of the executive committee of the 38th General Assembly of the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA-38).
The Vietnamese delegation was led by National Assembly Deputy Chairwoman Tong Thi Phong.
The head of the Singaporean delegation, which will take the AIPA presidency next year, is appointed as the AIPA-38 deputy president.
Under the chair of Pantaleon Alvarez, Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Philippines, participants discussed the agenda and set the time for the opening of the week-long AIPA-38 General Assembly on Saturday.
