NA discusses revision to law on government and local administration organization - ảnh 1

At the Assembly’s meeting on Friday, Head of the National Assembly’s Law Committee, Nguyen Khac Dinh said: “National Assembly’s Law Committee agrees on amendments and supplements to the Law on the Organization of the Government and Local Administrations to concretize the resolutions of the Party and National Assembly and clear obstacles in law enforcement. The Committee agrees with the government’s proposal that only several articles of the law will be revised to focus on streamlining the State apparatus, delegation of power, and reviewing functions, tasks, and authorities of the State’s administrative entities.”

The Law on Cadres, Civil Servants and Public Employees was approved in 2008 to meet the demands of building a socialist State governed by law, the socialist-oriented market economy, and international integration. The revision of law suggests removal of indefinite work contract. Deputy Phan Thi Binh Thuan representing Ho Chi Minh City, said: “The signing work contract with time limit will motivate state employees to undertake their tasks in the best way. Based on their performance, they will have their next work contract signed and no longer think that they will serve for the rest of their life. This makes employers more flexible in recruiting the right employees for the right positions and needs. It also makes the apparatus more effective.”
