NA Standing Committee debates anti-corruption
(VOVWORLD) - The National Assembly Standing Committee on Tuesday heard reports on crime prevention, judgment execution, and anti-corruption by the Supreme People’s Court, Supreme People’s Procuracy, and the government.
According to the government report, anti-corruption activities have seen positive progress and cases are likely to fall next year though no major breakthroughs have been recorded. The report attributed the results to resolute efforts made by the Anti-Corruption Central Steering Committee and relevant agencies in dealing with serious economic scandals and corruption cases. These efforts have strengthened the people’s trust, deterred wrong-doing, and encouraged more public engagement in the fight against corruption.
