NA Standing Committee discusses revised draft law on anti-corruption

(VOVWORLD) -The National Assembly Standing Committee discussed the revised draft law on anti-corruption on Friday during the Committee’s 25th session.

Deputies agreed on the imposition of tax for added income whose sources are not justified by declarer. Nguyen Khac Dinh, Head of the National Assembly’s Committee for Legal Affairs, said: “The tax rate of 45% is groundless. Progressive tax is regulated by law. If a person has an income of 1 thousand VND, he or she should pay a tax of 450 VND. But an income of 1 million VND should not be subject to the same tax rate.”

National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan said more public opinions are needed to make the draft law on anti-corruption more persuasive.
