(VOVworld) – National Assembly Vice Chairwoman Tong Thi Phong has praised the development of Con Cuong mountain district in Nghe An province adding that she hopes Con Cuong will boost socio-economic development and consolidate its strategic position in ethnic minority and border affairs.

During a working visit to Con Cuong on Saturday, Ms. Phong focused on forest protection as top mission of the district. It’s followed by preservation of traditional cultural characters of local ethnic minority people and at the same time building solidarity among the groups to create firm steps in new rural development.

Following the working session with Con Cuong’s leaders, Ms Phong visited Chom Lom hamlet in Lang Khe village and delivered gifts to the locals.
